who do you want to meet?

If you have a Friendster account this is one of the questions being asked on your profile. I recently answered it and I was able to come up with seven persons. My first choice is the Dalai Lama – he is an inspiration to me, he seemed to be a very just and righteous person. I admire his patience because I lack that trait. Anyone who knows me can definitely attest to that! One of my dreams is to go to Tibet, see the Himalayas and probably a meet and greet session with the man… the 14^th Dalai Lama! But I think he is currently residing in India because he was exiled, might as well go to there. Second choice is Mother Theresa as we all know she was called the living SAINT, no I’m not dreaming to become one but what if I am? I know it’s all impossible but who knows? Her simple ways of showing love, care and generosity inspires me as well. She was called a humanitarian and an advocate for the poor. Considering she was not that rich but she was able to do all these. Who doesn’t dream of doing such humane acts? My third choice is Britney Spears, I know, I know from the Dalai Lama to Mother Theresa to Britney? Huh? Well I adore her energy the way she performs, I love it. Her voice is not that good but for me she is a total performer I thought she would never bounce back from her pantyless days, her bald bald head and super duper fashion victim outfit. I love her new album CIRCUS specially the song with the same title circus! Fourth choice is my ultimate idol MARIAH Carey. I hated her at first because my dad use to watch her MTV “HERO” most of the times back in the day when Mariah released this single and I used to say to him “yuck why are you watching her???” It started to irritate me because wherever I was during those times you would hear it. When she started to release always be my baby and always be my baby remixes featuring the Brat I started to like her especially when she released her butterfly album, loved the single BREAKDOWN so much! She also released a remix with this song featuring bone thugs and harmony. She was the first female pop singer to crossover between rap, hip hop and pop. After she did that a lot of female pop singers started to do what she was doing, she is unquestionably the innovator! If I’m not mistaken she has the most number one songs and I think she recently trounce The Beatles. I don’t know if any of the new and young singers can outdo her. So when my dad realized that I started to be a fanatic of Mariah he was laughing at me, reminding me of my exasperation when he used to listen to her songs. Next on my list is Saint Theresa “the little flower” she is absolutely my patron saint! Whenever I pray at Carmelite church I always sit next to her and ask for her help. She sends me roses with no hesitation and helps me pray to the Lord. She is very devoted to whatever she does whether she is just washing the dishes or plain watering the plants. Her story encourages me to be like her childlike yet dedicated. She was just 24 when she died. 6^th choice is Chinese superstar Andy Lau. Gosh he is my ultimate crush when it comes to Chinese actors. I don’t know maybe he is good looking? Hahaha… My favorite movie of his is The DUEL he was the bad guy in this movie but nevertheless he was magnificent on his performance. I love watching Chinese movies because of him. I remember I also watch a movie of his, the Chinese version of street fighter in 1993 it was so funny not only it was hilarious it has a love story and has action scenes as well. It starred a lot of Chinese super stars like jack Cheung, Aaron kwok, ekin Chen, chingmy yau and a lot more. Last on my list is another Chinese actor Maggie Cheung I like her movies with Jacky Cheung I thought they were real lovers when I started watching Chinese movies. They look good together. They have this chemistry between them. I recently saw her at FTV when she attended an opening of man I forgot if it was Prada, Gucci or channel, sorry but my main point is she still looks the same when I first saw her movie back in 1992 or 1993 the same sexy figure. I consider her beauty a classic and timeless… So those are my sort of icons... Who’s yours?
